Maternal & Child Health Services
Maternal and Child Health Services provide pregnant women with primary and preventative services in their own home. Postpartum women and their newborns are also able to make the transition from the hospital to home with support and education from our team. Services are provided by a nurse with clinical experience and training in Maternal & Child Health.
What types of services are offered for women and their newborns?
- Maternal and Newborn Assessment “Baby’s First Homecoming Visit”
- Bilirubin photo light therapy
- Assistance with breast feeding and/or other feeding difficulties
- Education regarding the infant’s preventative health needs
- Education and discussion about postpartum depression, family planning, and other parental concerns
- Education about childhood illnesses
- Education about the use of car restraints and child safety issues
