Hospice provides care to those who are terminally ill, respecting their choice not to seek a cure, but to focus on the quality of life remaining. The focus of care is on providing comfort measures that allow the patient to be free from pain as well as help them reach an understanding that death, too, is a part of life. The interdisciplinary team cares for and supports the patient and their families though the end of life and through the grief and bereavement process.
