Hospice Lights of Life
Hospice Lights of Life is a community event to raise awareness for Hospice as an option for end-of-life care. Hospice is a philosophy of care that focuses on the quality of life remaining, not just the length of time. This unique approach offers physical, emotional and spiritual comfort to terminally ill individuals and their families and friends.
Throughout the month of December, electric candles, provided by Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association, are lit in the windows of downtown Concord, Contoocook, Penacook, Pittsfield, Henniker and Hillsborough and shine in celebration and honor of the memories of hundreds of people who have held a special place in someone’s heart.
The entire community is invited to participate by sending in the name of a loved one to the Concord Regional Visiting Nurse Association by November 15th. The name is then placed on the Lights of Life Honor Roll. The Honor Roll is printed in the Concord Monitor sometime in the month of December. An Opening Ceremony is held on the first Friday of December.
There is no cost to the community but donations are gratefully accepted to help fund our Hospice Program. Corporate Sponsors donate money to cover the cost of the event. Sponsorship Opportunities include:
| Shining Stars | $ 1,500 |
| Dazzlers | $ 500 |
| Sparklers | $ 250 |
| Twinklers | $ 100 |
