"A Matter of Balance"

Managing Concerns About Falls

Concord Regional VNA offers a falls prevention program to help older adults reduce their fear of falling and improve their activity levels. "A Matter of Balance" is an evidence-based, eight-week program also offered by many healthcare organizations nationwide and has proven positive results.

Benefits Older Adults Who:

  • Are concerned about falls
  • Have sustained a fall in the past
  • Restrict activities because of concerns about falling
  • Are interested in improving flexibility, balance, and strength
  • Are age 60 or older, physically active, and able to problem solve

Learn to:

  • View falls and fear of falling as controllable
  • Set realistic goals for increasing activity
  • Change your environment to reduce fall risk factors
  • Promote exercise to increase strength and balance

There is no charge to attend this program. For more information, call (603) 224-4093 or (800) 924-8620, ext.  5815.
